Connie Dunn, Author

connie_dunn-5Connie Dunn is a nationally recognized and award-winning author, speaker, and educator. She specializes in helping fiction and non-fiction writers take their book from wherever they are to getting them published.

Connie writes both fiction and non-fiction books, as well as courses. Her goal is to help her students and coaching clients reach their next goal. She spent nearly 30 years as a freelance writer, writing for magazines and newspapers. She had a regular column in the Dallas Morning News, which focused on small and home-based businesses. For this column, she won an award from the SBA (Small Business Administration).

She developed courseware for a number of start-up technology firms and with publishers, such as Prentice Hall Developmental (content) Editor. She self-published her first book in 1981 and developed a collection of stories with a collaborator in the 1990s. She writes children’s books, non-fiction, and fiction. Connie believes that everyone has a book in them, and her greatest joy is in traveling with her students on their writing journeys.

Connie also has won awards in screenplays and poetry. She is the founder and executive editor of Weeping Cherry International Review, ( which serves the writing community by offering book reviews, author interviews, fiction, poetry, essays, and non-fiction. Artists can also showcase their art in this quarterly digital magazine.

Connie is an active member of the United Regional Chamber of Commerce, and Boston Women Connect.

Connie lives in Franklin, MA, with her wife, Joyce, and their plus-size cat, Sophie, and their tiny 5 ½ pound Chihuahua, Rusty.
